Pragmax: Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) and Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Policy and Statement
Aligned with our core value, Pragmax Consulting (“Pragmax”)’s commitment to anti-bribery and corruption is non-negotiable. We are committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and in compliance with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
In order to achieve this, Pragmax has in place ABC guidelines to strictly adhere to:
-
Any giving or receiving of bribes or engaging in any form of bribery and corruption in business dealings is strictly enforced.
-
Engagement with third parties, associated persons, customers, and other third parties must not aim to induce business, gain an unfair advantage, or influence government or regulatory decisions for Pragmax or personal benefit.
-
Giving and receiving gifts, entertainment, donations, or sponsorships, whether directly or indirectly, with the intent to bribe, gain or retain a business advantage, or for personal gain, is strictly forbidden.
-
Any actual or potential conflict of interest that may pose a bribery or corruption risk to Pragmax is prohibited.
-
Facilitation payments are strictly prohibited.
Pragmax's associated persons, as defined by the MACC Act 2009, must also adhere to the aforementioned principles where applicable.
While Pragmax Consulting (“Pragmax”) is not a reporting institution under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA), we are committed to upholding the principles of financial integrity and responsible business conduct.
As part of this commitment, Pragmax does not knowingly engage in any transactions or business dealings involving the proceeds of unlawful activities, or with sanctioned individuals or entities. This includes, but is not limited to, applying appropriate AML/CFT/CPF due diligence measures in high-risk engagements and voluntarily reporting any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities, where appropriate.
This voluntary alignment reflects our broader commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all areas of our operations.
